Over the 2009 football season, the Center for Specialty Care has helped numerous players from Fairmont High School and Armstrong-Ringstead High School get back in the game after injuries. Pictured below are posters that each of the players and coaches recieved from the Center for Specialty Care.

Pictured below is Tim Soelter, PA-C, presenting 2009 Fairmont High School football coach Mat Mahoney with the poster. The Fairmont Cardinals went on to become the 2009 South Central Conference Champions and the 2009 Class 3A Section 3 Runner-Up.

Pictured below is Matt Morris, AT-C, presenting four Armstrong-Ringstead football players with their school poster and individual prints. Armstrong-Ringstead went on to become the Iowa 8-Man Football State Champion.

 

Dr. Corey Welchlin and the Center For Specialty Care donated numerous boxes to the Hope Foundation, which will go to the rescue mission in Haiti.  Medications, braces, walkers, crutches, and numerous surgical supplies were sent in hopes of helping the rescue effort in this devastated nation. Linda Winkelman, Chief Administrative Officer of Center For Specialty Care presenting a check in the amount of $200 to Karman Brinkman and Sarah Pfeffer of Usborne Books for the donation of books to Fairmont elementary students. Sixty 2nd graders from William Budd, St. John Vianney, and St. Paul's Lutheran received a book because of the donation.

Over this past 2009-2010 holiday season, the staff at Center For Specialty Care in Fairmont, collected dozens of toys and several bags of groceries, which were donated to the local Salvation Army to make the holidays brighter for those less fortunate.  Pictured is staff of the Center For Specialty Care.

This past summer and fall the Center For Specialty Care donated half of the fee for each high school sports physical completed at the clinic to the student’s school’s athletic office.  Sports physicals were completed in the Blue Earth and Fairmont offices by Holly Kotewa, C-FNP and Tim Soelter, PA-C.  Eleven local high schools and community colleges will benefit from the Center For Specialty Care’s donations to the respective school’s athletic departments, with a total of $820 being donated.  Fairmont Area High School’s Athletic Department will be donated $390, Martin County West will be donated $190, and Granada Huntley East Chain will be donated $140. 

Linda Winkelman, Chief Administrative Officer Center For Specialty Care, will be presenting the donations to David Traetow at Martin County West, and Terry Bentele at GHEC.  On October 22nd, during the halftime of the Fairmont/St. James football game, Tim Soelter, will present the donation to Randy Soma and FHS.

We will be continuing sports physicals donations throughout the 2009-2010 school year.
